How It Works

From handshake to heirloom.

A live wedding painting is part planning, part performance, and part quiet studio work. Here's exactly what happens between your first email and the canvas arriving at your door.

  1. 01

    Choose the right artist

Review portfolios and look for a style that resonates with you. Art is very subjective — it should feel like your favorite song, or food. Prioritize that connection.

  2. 02

    Select the moment to capture

Decide on the scene — the ceremony, a candid moment, or a composite. I can add details like pets, or relatives who might not be able to be there in person.

  3. 03

    Provide reference materials

Share photographs, videos, descriptions, and venue pictures. Lighting, the moment, all matters — the more I know about the setting, the better the composition.

  4. 04

    Discuss size and medium

Choose your canvas size from the available options. The most often requested is a modest 16×20 or 20×24 — easy to fit into any home.

  5. 05

    Set a timeline

I paint quite a bit on your wedding day — usually 4–7 hours on location. Final touch-ups are done at home, and the painting is delivered approximately 2–4 weeks after the wedding. Shipping is included.

  6. 06

    Review progress

I will send you final pictures of the finished painting before delivery — and things can still be changed at that stage if needed.
