A Live Wedding Painting
Fifty years later, a wedding day brought back from a handful of photos
Brian's parents lost all their wedding pictures in a fire. From photos an aunt took at the wedding 50 years ago, Kinga recreated their day in time for their 50th anniversary party — and they loved it.
The Story
I am still kind of amazed how this came together. I met Brian at the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce meeting, and just mentioned how I started to do wedding paintings and he right away thought about his parents... He told me about how they lost all their wedding pictures in a fire, and now their 50th wedding anniversary was coming and how amazing would it be to gift them a painting :). I loved the idea, so moving and sweet :). He contacted me soon after and sent me some pictures an aunt took at the wedding :). It was like a throwback in time, made me realize how far cameras came in 50years and how much more precious pictures were back then, if you lost the film, they were gone forever. I managed to get it done for them for their 50th anniversary party and they said they loved the picture... I love such memories, thank you for this memory, it means so much to me as well.
Brian was also so nice to have it show off at another Chamber of Commerce event :). As a small business, I really appreciate this kind of thoughtfullness.
